Volunteer at the 2022 Tough Ruck

Available Volunteer shifts include:

  • All Day shifts

    • Photographer – Professional photographers who wish to volunteer to capture the event. Must provide own camera. More details will be sent via email from our committee prior to the event.

    • Available for any assignment All Day – Thank you for committing to volunteer for the full day, by selecting this option you will be assigned to fill a mixture of the remaining available shifts throughout the day.

  • 430am-8am

    • Bus loading and parking assistant – Assist at the off-site parking lot directing arriving Ruckers to appropriate parking locations and assist in expediting the loading of the shuttle bus to the start line. (3 spots)

    • Weigh Station Morning [4:45am] – Assist in setting up the weigh station prior to Rucker arrival. Weigh all Rucks before the start of the event. Mark and document starting weight category for all Ruckers. (10 spots)

    • Swag Tent [Early AM Shift] – Setup the Swag Tent and assist in selling Tough Ruck Swag. (FULL)

    • Ribbon Distribution – Reserved for Family Members of the Fallen – Assist in distributing the memorial ribbons to Ruckers. (6 spots)

  • 5am-9am

    • Parking Lot attendant [AM Shift] – Monitor reserved parking lot and direct visitors to appropriate parking areas. (4 spots)

    • Bus unloading area – assist in unloading the shuttle bus and directing Ruckers to the Registration tent for Bib Pick-up. (2 spots)

  • 730am-1pm

    • Water Station [AM Shift] 4 Locations – Water Station set up and distribution at one of the four locations along the course. (5 spots per location)

    • Swag Tent [AM Shift] – Assist in selling Tough Ruck Swag. (FULL)

    • Course Direction [AM Shift] – Assist directing Ruckers along the course at various locations (10 spots)

  • 9am-12pm

    • Finish Line Set Up (6 spots)

  • 11am-630pm

    • Weigh Station [PM Shift] – Assist in weighing all rucks immediately upon crossing the finish line to verify minimum weight to receive medal. Assist in tracking finishers and DQ list for the race officials.

  • 12pm-6pm

    • Parking Lot Attendant [PM Shift] – Monitor reserved parking lot and direct visitors to appropriate parking areas. (4 spots)

    • Finish Line Security – Monitor secure Finish Line area, Limit access only to properly credentialed personnel. (5 spots)

    • Trash Pick Up – Assist in clearing trash. (6 spots)

    • Swag Tent [PM Shift] – Assist in selling Tough Ruck Swag. (FULL)

    • Course Direction [PM Shift] – Assist directing Ruckers along the course at various locations (10 spots)

  • 1pm-5pm

    • Water Station [PM Shift] 4 Locations – Water Station set up and distribution at one of the four locations along the course. (5 spots per location)​

  • 4pm-7pm

    • Trash Clean Up crew – Assist in clearing trash. (10 spots)

    • Finish Line break down – Assist in the breakdown and packing of all supplies at the finish area. (15 spots)
